I got tagged in a note on facebook that had this little game listed. I thought it was fun, and we all had a lot of fun doing it, so I thought I'd use it as an easy Sunday post on here... I will warn you, some of the quotes I chose have some "not so sweet" language in them, so I hope I don't offend anyone... ;0)
anyway... here's the game:
-Pick 20 of your favorite movies.
- Go to IMDB and find a quote from each movie.
- Post them in a note for everyone to guess.
- Strike it out when someone guesses correctly, and put who guessed it and the movie.
- NO GOOGLING/using IMDB search functions. That's cheating and it ruins the fun.
1. The game starts now. You have to score one thousand points. If you do that, you take home a tank with a big gun. Each day we will announce the scores from that loudspeaker. The one who has the fewest points will have to wear a sign that says "Jackass" on his back. There are three ways to lose points. One, turning into a big crybaby. Two, telling us you want to see your mommy. Three, saying you're hungry and want something to eat.
2. He lets the last Hungarian go. He waits until his wife and kids are in the ground and then he goes after the rest of the mob. He kills their kids, he kills their wives, he kills their parents and their parents' friends. He burns down the houses they live in and the stores they work in, he kills people that owe them money. And like that he was gone. Underground. Nobody has ever seen him since. He becomes a myth, a spook story that criminals tell their kids at night.
3. Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side, kid.
4. Always the same red paper, the same beautiful black writing. She's probably a lot like me, a legend in her own mind. Hehehehe. But you know what, I bet in real life she's probably not that wild. I bet she's kind of shy like so many of us briskly walking the halls, pretending to be late for some class, pretending to be distracted. Hey, poetry lady, are you really this cool? Are you out there? Are you listening?
5. Only posers die you fucking idiot!
6. It's one thing to want someone out of your life, but it's another thing to serve them a wake-up cup full of liquid drainer.
7. All right. Then get me a toilet paper roll, a corkscrew and some tin foil.
We don't have a corkscrew.
All right. Then get me an avocado, an ice pick and my snorkel.
[Friend looks at him funny] Trust me, bro. I've made bongs with less. Hurry up!
8. I have to believe in a world outside my own mind. I have to believe that my actions still have meaning, even if I can't remember them. I have to believe that when my eyes are closed, the world's still there. Do I believe the world's still there? Is it still out there?... Yeah. We all need mirrors to remind ourselves who we are. I'm no different.
9. Mawage. Mawage is wot bwings us togeder tooday. Mawage, that bwessed awangment, that dweam wifin a dweam...
10. I got mind control over Deebo. He be like "shut the f**k up." I be quiet. But when he leave, I be talking again.
11. I suddenly remembered my Charlemagne. Let my armies be the rocks and the trees and the birds in the sky...
12. So I guess this is where I tell you what I learned - my conclusion, right? Well, my conclusion is: Hate is baggage. Life's too short to be pissed off all the time. It's just not worth it. Derek says it's always good to end a paper with a quote. He says someone else has already said it best. So if you can't top it, steal from them and go out strong. So I picked a guy I thought you'd like. 'We are not enemies, but friends. We must not be enemies. Though passion may have strained, it must not break our bonds of affection. The mystic chords of memory will swell when again touched, as surely they will be, by the better angels of our nature.'
13. The Dude abides. I don't know about you but I take comfort in that. It's good knowin' he's out there. The Dude. Takin' 'er easy for all us sinners. Shoosh. I sure hope he makes the finals.
14. I was 12 going on 13 the first time I saw a dead human being. It happened in the summer of 1959 - a long time ago, but only if you measure in terms of years. I was living in a small town in Oregon called Castle Rock; there were only twelve hundred and eighty-one people, but to me it was the whole world.

And let's not forget the disease-spreading whore! Only in a world this shitty could you even try to say these were innocent people and keep a straight face. But that's the point. We see a deadly sin on every street corner, in every home, and we tolerate it. We tolerate it because it's common, it's trivial. We tolerate it morning, noon, and night. Well, not anymore. I'm setting the example. What I've done is going to be puzzled over and studied and followed... forever.

First of all, let me say thanks for all the kind words and thoughts you all have sent in the last few days. I am still dealing with some things, but I think it will all work out ok in the end. It really means the world to me to know that so many out there are thinking of me. It's giving me the strength to get through all this mess, and you will never know how much I appreciate it!
